Loose meat sandwiches here (aka Sloppy Joes). Homemade with extra onion and hunts bbq sauce. Combined with fresh bakery buns and I'm in heaven! Mmmm....sloppies...

I made homemade veggie beef soup. Of course the kids'd prefer just about anything ELSE. Bah. But I ALSO made homemade oatmeal raisin white and dark chocolate chip cookies, so I have the power to make 'em eat the stinkin' soup. ;)

Twice-baked potatos and chicken cordon bleu.

Hey, give me a break...I just went shopping :p I can't be a tightwad all the time.

I baked a spaghetti squash with tomato sauce and three kinds of cheese.

The kids are just thrilled.

They can have leftover black beans and rice.

unxpurg8d,

I know! I don't know what I was thinking. They want chicken strips and corn on the cob every night, either that or mac and cheese! Tomorrow is grocery shopping day, so I'll have to find a bribe to go with the leftovers....

Spaghetti squash just came in season down here, I think. I have a tendency to buy and make whatever is fresh and in season.

Tomorrow is salmon and asparagus.... and I think maybe icecream... :D

And hey, can you PM that cookie recipe when you have time? They sound tasty and nutritious... can't go wrong there!

TRP, both are actually really easy to make. I live on my own, too, but I found life to be far easier once I learned how to cook...:)
