I went to the supermarket hungry earlier. Kind of a mistake. As a result, tonight's dinner will be:

Honey and IPA-marinated grilled ribeye
Crab cakes (just got done prepping them)
Choy sum wilted with some garlic, soy, and sugar

I was going to make the ribeye sous vide, but I had a few beers this afternoon and I probably can't be trusted to keep an eye on the temperature using the beer cooler method. Also I just got Civ 5 and have been losing track of time, so basically this will actually hit the heat when my wife tells me she's hungry.

Beer is the footnote. Nothing exciting by ATOT standards. Couldn't find Dogfish Punkin Ale today, so I went w/ my second favorite of this variety - Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale. Probably too "macro" for this crowd?

my mom loaded me up with leftover meatballs last night, so I might run to the bakery a couple blocks away, pick up a roll, and have a meatball sub.

Haven't decided yet. Either fast food or perhaps I'll cook a steak.

You can get good bread in NJ, so that sounds incredible.

You went from ribeye sous vide to ribeye marinated in honey? Wow, there's only one way to go downhill from the sacrilege of doing a piece of wonderful beef sous vide and you managed to accomplish it.

Spaghetti and meatballs. Probably have some bruschetta when the couple trays of tomatoes I'm roasting are done.

I'm going here for dinner http://www.wolfgangpuck.com/restaurants/fine-dining/3789

Getting the Wagyu filet.

Cut's pretty good, definitely has elevated the LA dining scene. Not big on tenderloin in any form, though.

Best steak I've had anywhere in America, though, is Barclay Prime on Rittenhouse Sq in Philadelphia. My baseline comparison is the ribeye.

I take you're in/near LA from many of your posts. Have you been to Bazaar? Jose Andres has delivered you a gift.

beer and soy sauce marinated grilled choice top sirloin steak. just pulled it from the charcoal grill and is now resting.
garlic mash potatoes
trader joe's shell mac & cheese.

Perfect cool fall weather outside so I wanted to grill on the deck.

Nice. I think we're on the same page - although I might be a little bit late in the season here for blue crab.

What do you think of civ 5 SJ? I got it the first day and loved it but now I have slightly more mixed feelings. I have faith it will improve with the expansions though.

I usually go ribeye at steakhouses, but with the wagyu filet, best of both worlds.

I have NOT been to Bazaar yet. I've been trying to find the time to go but it's very difficult to get a reservation and difficult for me as I have two small ones at home.
