whats fastest memory epox 8kha+ will take

i have an old epox 8kha+ with pc2100 in it. one of the 256MB chips has recently half fried and i need to get new memory. I would imagine it would handle a bandwidth upgrade i just don't know how much and how much would even make a difference to justify the price. any input would be appreciated. (I have 2 256MB sticks of pc2100 in there now, and will either get 512 or a gig this time..)
