Are you trying to start a war?????

IMO and most of the reviews, p4's do not compare well clock to clock...so a p4 1.3 doesn't perfrom like 1.3 athlon let alone maybe a 1.1 athlon. get a 1.4tbird and reviews show it beats the p4 1.7 in majority of test and hangs close to 1.8 p4.

Athlon at that speed is faster in majority of tests used by review sites...ofcourse you always have the annomaly of quake 3.

Most p4 users will even tell you that the pc600 rdram is not that good...really bump that up to the pc800 if you can. p4 1.3 with pc600 is going to feel like a p3 1ghz from reports and reviews I have seen.

PLus:

That is a great amd mobo and good amount of ram...mobo is extremely overclockable.

I also imagine the amd is cheaper and even more so if you upgrade to the pc800 rdram.

In games it would be about the same because the video card would be the bottle neck. For everything else the T-Bird would be significantly faster. 1.3GHz P4s are a complete waste of time. A 1.2GHz Athlon matches or exceeds a 1.5GHz P4 most of the time so a 1.3 is useless. The extra RAM with the Athlon system would also come in handy.

This is definatly a joke. Someone created a new profile and posted this hoping to start a flame war. Well, lets hope this gets locked.
