What will run a faster stick of memory:
100mhz Cas2 or 133mhz cas3 setting?

i'm gonna go with the 133... for everyday stuff cas2 is only about 2% faster. even on memory intensive stuff like seti@home it was about 10% faster.

the PC133 CAS3 will run faster at a 133mhz bus, but if you're running on a 100mhz bus, get the pc100

Download sisoft sandra 2001. Use the memory benchmark test to compare. Then you'll know which setting is faster.

133MHz CAS3 is faster than 100MHz CAS2.

Just do the +33MHz for the memory thing in the BIOS so your memory is running at the FSB+33.

Definitely the PC-133. The CAS-2, CAS-3 thing bewilders me? The difference in speed is negligible.

For everything you will probably ever use your computer for the PC133 is going to be faster. I have seen some very specific applications used in business where latency is the only issue and bandwidth makes no difference and in those cases the PC100 CAS2 will be faster. So I would say that 99.9% of the time the PC133 is going to be faster. However, I helped build a machine specifically for the purpose of running that application and we ran various benchmarks to create the lowest latency set-up as possible because it made the difference of 6-10 hours in how long it would run.

xtreme2k - Don't try and be too helpful...lol

alm4rr - Check out this website: Tweakmax

If the decision is between 100Mhz Cas2 or 133Mhz Cas3 I would go for 133Mhz Cas3. But optimally I would try and run my ram as fast as possible at Cas2.

I am not trying to be anything, but honestly this same question has come up so many times before and you guys really should do a search before posting such a common question.
