What's decent memory for a Duron?

Crucial and Mushkin have always been good brands, the VisionTek is meant to be good, I think that most MXs are cheep, I do not know what they retail over in americal though

crucial, mushkin, and SIEMENS (my favorite)
on the geforce, all the cards perform pretty similarly, but guillemot and asus are the two brand names I prefer. I have the Asus (more expensive) and it rocks, but I wish I had got the cheaper guillemot. It just looks cooler😉

Yep, any decent PC100 will work. However, you may want to get a stick capable of CAS 2 or just get PC133, downclock to PC100 and speed up CAS timings.

It can run on PC100 or 133, but there have been problems in the past where cheeper types of RAM do not want to work with AMD setups

Anybody have any experience with Micron RAM? and the GeForce2 MX by Guillemot looks real good... I wonder why its so cheap..

Virtual channel ram is the ultimate duron/tbird ram. It overclockers very well and is faster than any other sdram but its like 179 for 128 megs.

Doomguy: I read a post in the video forum where they really cussed you out, man! Well, If you read this again, since you are an expert in video cards, which Geforce 2 MX should I get? Is the Guillemot good?

Haervii

I have a Duron 700 with PC-133 Micron memory and everything works great. Crucial, a subsidiary of Micron, and Mushkin are two other really good memory makers. What motherboard are you using? Some brands of memory don't work in certain socket A mobos. But the three brands above should work fine in just about any of the socket A mobos.

All I know is that when I called mushkin and told them I was getting a duron, they said the Budget Ram would not work with my setup. So if you go Mushkin, get the High Performance.

DeezNtz: Thanx, man. Do u have it Overclocked? I don't know if that makes a difference, but thats what I'm planning to do. And know I don't have any kind of Duron or Socket A stuff now, but I'm gonna buy it, thats why I asked about the RAM. Micron is real cheap, and CAS2, do I think I'll get that.

Last guy who posted:Ah pushy sales people. Theyll tell you anything
