What's considered a reasonable amount of time to tune a guitar?

How long should it really take for someone that's been playing for 16 years?

A few minutes tops IMO Rubycon 🙂

It depends for me... If I have at least one string tuned, then < 1:00. If all the strings are off, then probably 3-5 minutes. Of course, I'm not that great and have only been playing for 3 years...

PICS! 😛

Never turn out in this dark room. 😛

How about a sandy foot? Just relaxing at Tortola BVI a few days ago. 🙂

< 60 sec, probably much less in most cases

So how long did it take him?

Haha a few minutes - no wait that's not right - 10 sec later - OK. You get the idea. I'd upload some stuff if I had the bandwidth. I'll be in NYC today and will connect to a good wifi on a T3 so perhaps I can send some stuff to putfile. 😉

Um, if you've been playing for 16 years, you will have a chromatic tuner that tunes it for you 🙂

Oh, also, if you can play with your toes, please post it.

probably 30 seconds, tops. but if it's a floyd rose tremelo, it could take 5 minutes easy. those things are a PITA.
That's what I've got. At the time I got the guitar, I didn't realize it was gonna be a pain and that I'd never use the tremolo.

Have any tips for changing strings on it?

Use heavier strings (.10's are good), and get some tuner locks.

a couple minutes, although due to environmental conditions, tuning might have to occur more or less frequently.
