Whats the thermal compound for cpu cooling at radio shack? i dont want to o'c fer now, and i dont want to rely on the pad on the bottom of the chrome orb...

but the guy at radio shack didnt know what thermal compound is and i didnt have anything to call it besides that.. can anyone be more specific for me?

I have a tube of it here, the label says:

276-1372
Radio Shack
Silicone-Base
Heat Sink
Compound

Hope that is a help, it is actually ok stuff, and should cost only $2-$3.

It's deffinately better than any pad, I've been using it for about 9 months on the slug of my cpu/on my peltier,and cold plate.Any my idle temp is -36c 🙂
