What's comparable to a EVGA 9800GX2? Shipping 2 year old one with an RMA. Questions.

I am shipping my 2 year old/broken EVGA 9800GX2 SC to the manufacturer for a replacement. I want to buy insurance for the package. So, what's comparable that you think EVGA will give me in return? How much is a new card with the same performance? Or how much should I insure this for? Thank you. Thank you.

It depends on the resolution/AA method, but until you run out of VRAM a GX2 will outperform a GTX 460 1GB slightly in average framerates. I would say 1920x1200/0 would lean in the GX2's favor and 1920x1200/4 would lean in the 460's favor.

However the 460 will achieve a more consistent framerate and not have SLI issues.

Its depressing how we don't have the massive performance jumps anymore such as FX->6800->7800->8800. G80/92 lasted a long time.
