I just bought a case (36 pieces) of Lledo die cast cars from e bay.
I was the only bidder. He he he...
Of course, I'd like to only keep the ones I like and sell the rest for a profit.
My thing is that eight of the 36 I bought are "collector's club" models and some of those, I really don't care for.
Do items that are deemed as "collectable" really ever collectable?
Think about it: What's more rare? A toy that is bought by Joe Average for the reason why toys are bought in the first place and get worn out and so mint condition units are possibly few and far between or a toy that is labeled as "collectable" and is only bought by collectors and are all kept mint in the box?
Take beanies for instance. Some of those are mae and sold KNOWING that a "collector" is going to buy it. Isn't it more likely that a beanie that was bought for and played with a bunch of kids a more likely unit to be worth more if it's in mint condition?
Should I just go ahead and sell off these "collecor club" models or wait to see if they increase in value?
