I hooked up a ati 9700 pro via dvi cable to a 32inch plasma screen (pioneer PDA-5002) the image is horrible. it shakes very badly, and there almost "static" in the image. it's almost unreadable. I tried different refresh rates but nothing helped. I have hooked it up via dvi cable to a dell LCD screen and it's fine. the only thing I can think of iis ti's the cable. custom from pacific cable.

anything else it could be. hopefully i can get out there agani this week with a new dvi cable,.

I haven't done research into it, but are Plasma screens really suited to run high-resolution computer monitor output? I know virtually all other tv-related technologies look like garbage with monitor signals...

Might try messing with the resolutions and/or figure out what the native resolution is on that big boy. I hope it's not you cable but of course that can be replaced. Good luck.

HDTV's do 720p which is like 1024X768 and I think they still look like crap. However, I just took a quick look online and it does appear that Plasma displays should be pretty good for monitor displays. Viewsonic sells a few that are supposed to be good. Maybe check out the FAQ at a manufacturer of Plasmas (like Viewsonic) and see if they have any solutions for your problem. Best of luck to ya!
