Whats' better: OEM graphic card drivers or NVIDIA drivers?

I have a GF2 and my manufacturer, Leadtek is has not updated their drivers yet. Will I degrade my cards performance if I use the new Nvidia drivers?

Most reviews use Nvidia drivers, the only thing you might loose is if your card as special features that the Nvidia drivers don`t cover, but in general the Nvidia drivers are very good and updated pretty fast.

Just remember to remove the old Leatek drivers first before installing Nvidia drivers, and the same again if you go back.

🙂

you can even use other companies drivers if you want 🙂 alot of people use the elsa beta drivers as they are the most current. nvidia.com has 12.50 i believe which is the most recent official set.

Elsa has the feature of sliders to select refresh rates. Elsa used to have a "generic" driver for non-Elsa cards that would allow you to simply click which driver you wanted to use (between the oem driver and the elsa "generic".

Generally OEM's don't write updates as fast as Nvidia. Elsa may be the exception as they make very high end Nvidia based cards. 12.50's are out? are they WHQL, or Beta?
