What's better for overclocking and price: ASUS A7V133, MSI Turbo-R, ABIT KT7A- RAID?

Abit is probably your best bet for overclocking, but the A7V133 isn't too far behind.

The Abit and Asus will OC right about the same on my friends KT7A I can get 1050 on my A7V I could get 1042 on my A7V133 I can get 1050. Performance wise the A7V133 edges out the rest.

I just brought a KT7A-RAID about a month ago. I regret it. A lot of problem with BIOS. I can't boot to SCSI drive is one of my main cercern. I am thinking to sell it and move to Asus A7V133 instead.

Lucky for you. I also have SCSI, SBlive and Windows 2000. Too much problem to deal with, but able to work around it - not stable. Just got tire of it.

The whole subject is taboo. You will get different opinions and in the end left more confuse than you were. Since you mention price is one of the main issue, ask yourself if you need the RAID feature or not. You could save yourself a couple of bucks. The Abit and Asus will likely cost more than the MSI or Iwill. Overall, they all should be good boards.

The IWill KK266-R overclocks the highest but the Asus A7V133 is a good choice too.

I say, it doesn't matter. I have owned at least 10 Athlon / Tbird processors and Abit, Asus, Giga-Byte, Microstar and other boards. As long as the board has the option for multiplier, FSB and Vcore adjust, it will be entirely dependant on the processor. End of story.

Just finished building a system with the Iwill KK266 and it's a nice MB. May get the RAID version for myself.
