What's better for gaming?

Is Windows 98se or Me better for gaming? Is it true that 98 doesn't recognize more than 256 mb of ram, and is that true for Windows ME also?

Both work well with games. ME has many more updated drivers that will reduce time to get it up and running. Has many features that are to many unecessary. I like ME now that I have been using it for a while. 98SE crashed a lot more with my current system. If you are currently using 98SE and things are runniing smoothly, I would suggest sticking with 98SE. If you are having problems with 98SE, try ME. Remember you can always revert back to an old OS. Don't be afraid to experiment. I doubt there is anyone who writes in these forums who hasnt tried something new that they thought would make their system better, only to find that the new program fried the computer so badly that the only solution was to reformat their entire hard drive.😱

Windows me wouldnt work with Serious Sam Beta 2 but it would on win98SE and win2k. Thats pretty bad win2k plays the game just fine and really fast but windows me doesnt. Hey i thought windows me was the consumer OS . hehe

i think windows me is more uncompat. than win2k in ways sometimes cause it seems to have more problems than win2k with compat. with games , hardware , etc

i still dont know how MS will get Windows XP as compat. as maybe 98SE but without the 9x kernel. i mean look at windows me its not as compat. as 98SE for sure

and it takes like 2 gigs of RAM or something, reseach VACHE settings if you need to use an insanly large amount (I think that's it).
