What's better for energy to get you through the afternoon?

I don't see the choice "interest in my job" as a choice.

Other wise, for a legal kick, wash a couple Sudafeds (the good ones behind the pharmacy counter) down with a cup of coffee.

If that doesn't jack you up any, it's not going to happen.

Reading 50pages of lease documents can only be so interesting. Add in being tired + food coma...

Might head to coffee bean soon, grab a drink.

I voted Tea. I'm from the South, so that means iced tea with lots of sugar. Sugar + caffeine FTW.

However, the best option was not included in the poll. "A nap" works best, just requires some downtime. ;-)

Sleep. The goal is to sit so far back in your chair that when you do doze off, your head won't fall too far to on side;).

short walk around the office

handful of nuts/raisins or something

cup of tea - not enough caffeine to keep you from falling asleep later, but enough to keep you from falling asleep now

and most importantly, a good nights sleep the night before!

cofee tea something please !
I was just sitting here, slouched in my chair to the point my chin could just about rest on the desk, slowly going through a 380 page pdf file I have to read by tommorrow.

I hate when someone gives you something with 1 days notice and expects you to be proficient by morning.

View of a female in a short skirt with a nice tight ass bending down to open a file cabinet. Will perk you up, guaranteed.

The best thing isnt even on the list, and thats sleep.
If you are dragging every day at work you need to evaluate your sleep habits. Theres about a hundred threads in Anandtech on this subject, and about a thousand books available.

Also, how long is your lunch? If you have an hour or more you may wish to sneak a nap in your motor vehicle or a secluded spot at work (if it wont get you canned).
