I've got an old version of Driveimage but it's time to get something much newer. What are the pros/cons of using newer versions of DI or Ghost? Can each program run from floppy or from a CD I burn myself? TIA!

Do a search in the software forum. There are bechmarks of the two somewhere with DI winning.

I 've used both. I like Drive Image. It seems faster and more reliable for restores to different sized partitions.

I know that with Drive Image you can restore files without restoring the whole image and it only takes a click or two.

DI does two levels of compression. 40% and 50%. The higher takes longer.

<< How do you make a BOOTABLE CD with ghost back up... >>

All I did is save the image file directly to a cd instead of to a hard drive partition. Worked perfect, even with my sczi cdrw.
