whats better 2gigs fast ram or 3gigs slower

i run two gigs at 300mhz but i have one gig of slower ram and wondered if it would help my games.

In general, I'd say 2 gigs of faster RAM, unless you're doing monstrous video editing.

More ram is only useful in applications that take more memory than you'd otherwise have avalable. I doub't anyone here can list a game that uses even 1.5gb of ram, let alone anywhere close to 3gb.
