I recently bought the above mentioned board and was wondering what the best memory and bios settings were for best/most stable performance. I would like the overclock but I thought I'd see if anyone has tested anything before trying stuff. I know there are some reviews about the board and memory... already read though em. But they didnt include anything about PC3500 500Mhz. Anyone try it. Can the board even overclock that much? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

You really need to do a LOT more reading, there are probably as many review, oc results, etc., for that board as any other out there.

PC3500 is not "500mhz".... it's DDR433

4000 I meant. Was lookin at something when I was typin it and got 3500 in my head... My bad. Ive looled around a little for my board and 500mhz mem but didnt see anything... althought I'm at work and can't delve too deep since my monitor faces a windowed hallway where everyone walks.. got to be sneaky. lol. If you know of any spec places youve seen it, it would be helpful. Thanks.

What you will find is that the mobo and it's components will probably fail before your memory does. Manually set your vdimm to 2.75, turn off Legacy USB support and set the memory timings to manufacturer's specs. If that all works, start increasing fsb in small increments. You can also try tightening the memory timings little by little but the gains you get will be very small compared to fsb increases.

I guess the reason I asked and didn't try all this myself is because I read on a few sites where people were testing the OC of this board with +400 mem and kept saying that if it wasnt able to reach the mem spec speed say in my case 500 that the system was unstable. So I don't want to buy 500 mem try to OC it and not get to 500 and then have an unstable pc and useless mem. So I was hoping someone tried say Kingston hyper X 500 with some results for example. Thanks.
