Whats best AMD mobo/cpu setup for $200.00?

Whats best mobo to go with a Duron/XP 1.2 cpu? I was looking at the cheap ECS mobo, but to many mixed reviews on that one. I have only owned Asus mobo's (P5A & K7M) and would like to stay with it. Is the A7A133 any good?
Thanks for the replies inadvance.

It all depends on your needs.
ECS K7S5A + AthlonXP 1800+ is about 210 at Newegg.com
Or
SOLTEK SL-75DRV2 + AthlonXP 1700+ which is about 220.

Im sure there are many variations you can put together.
Other good motherboards include:

EPOX EP-8KHA+
SHUTTLE AK31A
SOYO K7V DRAGON+

Also the Duron 1.0ghz has the best price/preformace ratio.

Athlon XP 1500+ for $111 shipped + Florida tax from TWCO. (You have to call and mention pricewatch). And the Shuttle AK31A or Epox EP-8KHAL, both are $85 shipped from newegg. That's a total of $196 including shipping but not including tax.

I second ECS K7S5A with onboard LAN. 🙂 As long as u know what kind of power u need from PS for ur Athlon /Duron CPU, and find out what HSF for the CPU. U will have no problem. I scored a 89 dollars combo deal from Fry's two weeks ago(Duron 1GHz, with ECS k7S5A) and 100 bucks for 512 MB DDR RAM. my windows XP has no problem to move from a PII733 CUSL2 motherboard to the new setup. 🙂 Now I just bought a new 8500 radeon from newegg for 139 dollars (i have been using the onboard 1 MB video for 2 years)

I would wait for an Nvidia N415 board. if they do actually come out at 80 to 90 dollars. including their Sound, Lan etc it could be a real bargain.

btw, i've been running the ECS w/ no problems. I dont' think the reviews on the ECS are any more mixed than any other board.

95 percent of problems most people have are User Errors not due to the product itself. this is especially true, it seems to me, with motheboards.

as for me, i actually cracked the white part of the AGP slot on my card. a whole chunk fell off. it still works fine, so i'm not complaining, but it does make me a bit nervous, so i'm looking to buy that N415 board as soon as it comes out.

🙂
