whats been happening with laptop ram prices lately?

I need 1 gb or 2 gb of pc3200 memory for my dell 9100. what has been the recent trend with laptop ram prices?

It's been up slightly in the last few months. I bought a stick of 256 PC2700 Kingmax for 42 bucks. That same stick is now 51 bucks. Then again, if u're going for 2 gigs, that could be a different of 40-50 bucks.

Yeah they're up there like all ram prices. i believe you can find PC2700 512mb sodimms for ~120-130 on crucial or kingston. That's the cheapest right now. Best Buy and Circuit City have deals once in a while which makes these prices go down to 90-100 after rebate. i'm waiting to upgrade my M6805 to 1gb

oh sorry you wanted PC3200 ram. That's crazy expensive. Yields on PC3200 sodimms are still pretty low so they price is pretty nuts.

You are lookin at a prob if you wanted to get it from kingston as the fact that kingston doesn't carry 1gb sticks in sodimm 3200 max is 512. Why u want 3200 ne way?? I know u can get a 1gb 2700 stick for 296...

Cause my laptop uses pc3200 memory thats why. I want it to be as fast as possible. Kingstons prices suck on pc3200 laptop memory anyways. Do you know of any rebates on the pc3200 laptop memory?

Oh. I see, then you should buy 2x512 from crucial. It isnt very expensive and you KNOW its reliable.
