I am trying to write a thank you note for someone who really went above and beyond this weekend.

The sentance that I am trying to work is:
"Your expertise was greatly appreciated, but the dedication you showed went further than expected."

What is a better way to say the second half of that sentance?

I'd use and instead of but in that sentence.
