What's an untailed fan?

It has no header on it. No connector, just bare leads. You would need to either crimp or solder on a header, or solder the bare leads to a power source.

Yup, no 4-pin or 3-pin molex connector. You'll have to either solder the wires to a spare molex connector or solder them straight to the PS...

it doesnt mean you HAVE To solder or crimp it to anything.

You could do something like buy/make a Fanbus. Fanbus is a speaker terminal with a molex connector on it. You plug the wire leads of the untailed fan into the terminal clips and its done!
