What's an LLC???

What's an LLC? What does it mean to be apart of one? What does it mean to own 2% of one? I don't understand. Help me understand, wise ones.

owning 2% means you own 2% or 2 out of every 100 of the companies voting stock.

Naw, there are LLC here in America. I know the British have PLC. Not sure what that is.

There are lots of LLC's in the US...it's basically a mix between a full corporation and a general partnership..sort of like a best of both worlds deal. Some law firms, lots of hedge funds, and even some big corporations are LLC's...

REmember that LLCs can't do business in California. Or so is what I've been told.

i assume so.. I never really see LLC. Ltd/limited is much more common..
