what's an easy way to check for dead pixels?

i realize this might be a stupid idea, but it'll make me a happy panda if I don't find any. Are there any utilities that make it easy to spot dead pixels?

Dead Pixel Buddy

edit: Make sure your screen is cleaned properly (don't use anything that might possibly damage or scratch it) cause sometimes little bits of fuzz can look like a dead pixel on the right background.

look at a black screen. i have one dead pixel on my laptop (red), and i only notice it when i'm watching movies with very dark scenes.

agreed.

Although, if you can't notice them, it's probably not a problem.

Once you find them, you will notice them. Its a vicious cycle.

Umm so yeah Dead Pixel Buddy is what you need. May as well do the several colors it has completely full-screen (in a slideshow even, OMG) to check for pixels stuck in some color not just black/white.
