What's an acheiveable overclock?

well, with that combo your memory will hold you back. I got PC-8000 for my 6300's, and get 3.3-3.5 with them. Not sure what you can do with PC-6400

The 7x vs 8x multiplier makes all the difference. With the 7x multiplier you need PC-8000 to hit 3.4

Well, I don't know for sure, but not 470-500. I can post at 3500, and even boot and run at that for a while, but its not stable for long. 3.4 works fine. With PC 6400, you will be lucky to hit 3 ghz.

3.4 ghz on a E6300 has an FSB of 485. So that means you can hit FSB 485 stable.

2.8 ghz is fine for now.

Your mobo & RAM aren't the best, so i wouldn't expect miracles, but i'm sure you could get close to 3 GHz.

Normally i'd say RAM would end up being the limiting factor, but E6300s need high FSBs to reach high OCs.

Back when i had my E6300, i could do around ~ 495 on my mobo before it'd start flaking out (though oddly, it can do much higher with other CPUs).

I ran it 7x486 (3.4 GHz) 24/7.

But again, good mobo + good RAM needed for that...
