I have NCP ram pc133, according to you this is "generic" ram. The ram runs stable at 140mh, in turbo mode, with 4way interleave enabled on Abitkt7raid, I don't understand you guys with your crucifiction of the generic ram

It is much less likely to run at a higher bus speed.

Are you running at 2-2-2? I had some Kingmax TinyBGA that ran like 160's 2-2-2 4 way interleaving. It would blow a lot of boards away in the memory bandwith.

without doubt, some makes of generic ram are good quality but it's difficult to tell what you're getting most of the time so why take the risk especially if you start getting problems which aren't easily identifible on your system.
the high quality stuff has a proven track record & is now so cheap! :)

I can't run my generic RAM with my Infineon RAM. I have 512 megs of Infineon and I'm running it all at FASTEST timing, at 150 mhz FSB.... my generic RAM has a heart attack long before it hits that =)
