I know that Northwoods can die easily from upping their voltage. Do Athly's suffer the same fate? If so, what's a safe voltage for them?

Tbirds: No Clue
Palominos: Never had a problem running at 1.85v for 7 months
Tbreds: Never had a problem running at 1.85v 2 weeks ;) (my new XP 2400+)

yeah it was not uncommon to have a tbird run at around 2v when overclocking back in the day when it was top dog
palominos, same goes for them as tbirds (never heard of any sudden death syndrome)
tbreds, again i havnt heard of any sudden death syndrome, but it being a 0.13 chip i would not go over 1.85 or so unless you want to take a chance (again, i dont konw if there even is any risk....if it was me i wouldnt care id run it at 1.85v or higher all day :D )

i would stay away from anything over 1.85v with the t-breds. the t-bird and the palomino are generally fine at 2.0v as long as you have good cooling.

Usually 10% is a reasonable boost in voltage with a low risk of problems. For Palominos/TBirds this is 1.925v. For Thoroughbred cores, this value is 1.815v. 15% is the absolute max I would raise the voltage; at that point component risk starts to become a real factor.
