What's a quick way to alert all contacts on my MSN list?

Since MSN Messenger is soon going to be discontinued, I want to get everyone in my contact list if they choose, to add me to gmail. Basically I want to send some kind of broadcast message that will reach all of them even if offline. Basically telling them that I will be moving to gmail, so if they want to add me, they can.

Is there an easy way to do this? Does not have to be an actual instant message, just any way where they'll see a message. An email to their account email maybe? I see people login sometimes and they have a message under their name, something like that would work too, I just can't seem to figure out how to do it. I think found an option in Pidgen but it resets if I log out, so they probably wont see it if I'm online. I'm on Linux, if it matters. No access to the actual MSN client, though if I have to I can always install it in a VM.

Worse case scenario I can just pick and choose and send a message manually to the people I actually talk to regularly, but if there's a way to automate it, then that's even better.
