This chip is a 1ghz 266 fsb tbird, axia.
I am using an alpha pal6035 cooler with a 13.2 CFM ADDA fan. (16 dB)
I used arctic silver II thermal compound.
It is running on an EPoX 8K7A motherboard.

MBM 5 is reporting a temp of 51 C at idle! this seems too high to me? let me know...

What should I do if this is too high? I don't want to overclock, but maybe I will lower the vcore settings (too bad i didnt bother unlocking it when I put it in...)

thanks..

Try this...

Also, that's an awfully small fan (13cfm) you've got there... Normally comes with a 23cfm.

What kindof airflow do you have in your case? What's the case temp??

I have a 1.33 oc'd at 1450 (could get more, but have to lower mem settings) and my cpu temp is around 40C to 45C under load.

Swiftech m462, sanyo denki
artic silver II
two 92mm intakes on side, and one out on top.
I'm gonna throw the 80mm delta on there pretty soon and get a couple of degrees off that.

i only have a front case fan and the p/s fan )
i didnt really think i'd need anything extra, because im not overclocking, an this isnt my machine, i built it for some friends... they wanted it quiet...
