What's a normal CPU temp?

Just wondering what the average P3 CPU temp should be. Normally it's about 110 when I'm not doing much, but when I'm playing CS it's gone up to 180-190 according to motherboard monitor. I don't remember it being that hot before. Is that normal, or should I be concerned?

double check that temperature in your BIOS. That seems too high to be true. If it really is that high then I sincerely doubt that your heatsink is making good contact with the CPU.

I'll check that now. I had the case apart a couple days ago and might have bumped it or something. If it isn't making good contact would that exhibit this behavior, or would the temp always be higher (eg. anytime the computer is on, not just in games)?

I am no expert of course, but wouldn't this depend on what type of system he is running
meaning.
I have a mid tower which is about full with six fans blowing and sucking. My temps
normally run 32 and then up to 44 at full load......

I have a full tower with 3 120mm fans in the top of the case pointed down blowing IN and 4 80mm fans (2 front, 2 rear) towards the base blowing OUT. Case temps are normal.. 5 to 10 degrees above room temperature.
