I like to watch shows in order..

However, I cannot find a new one to watch. None of them seem smart or interesting to me..

Good shows I already watch/watched:

all the Star Treks
Battlestar
Sopranos
Heroes
House
all the CSI's (don't really need to watch them in order)

My friends tell me Nip/Tuck.. but bleh.. Stargate maybe? Doctor Who?

It really seems like 99% of shows are stupid..

Shows I won't watch (because they seem stupid even though other nerds like me like them):

Lost
Jericho

If you want a comedy try Scrubs. But from your list that's probably not what you're looking for. I've heard good things about Prison Break but haven't watched it.

House, MD seasons 1-3
Babylon 5 (quite good story arc if you can make it past the first year)
Firely + Serenity
Stargate SG-1 (gets good the middle of year 1, stays good for at least another 4-5 years)
Buffy (if you can get into it, the writing stays good for at least 5-6 years)
RahXephon (SF anime, 26 episodes)

Defenitely watch Dexter.
If you got a netflix subscription you can stream the first season or two online.

Stargate is pretty good, and you got 10 seasons of it to watch
torchwood is not bad either.

Agreed on House and SG-1 except I think SG-1 didn't go to crap until season 8.

edit: and if you want to kick it old school go get Hogan's Heroes, GREAT comedy.

I also really enjoyed Angel (Buffy spinoff) although they ended it weird/abruptly due to cancellation.

Dexter. I just got into it- it's really good. Also Arrested Development, if you've never seen it- it's seriously the funniest show I've ever seen. I'm watching them with my roommates (my 3rd time, their first) and I'm laughing just as much as the first time I saw it, if not more. :)

Hell's Kitchen should only be watched if it's the original episodes. Ramsey turned into a sellout drama whore when he went over to Fox. The originals were good in that he did what he could to foster positive change. The new one is just cursing and drama. Don't even get me started on the drek that's Hell's Kitchen. (Anyone else besides me think some of the lady contestants are boning him on the side?)

I'd strongly encourage you to go see the new Doctor Who series. Excellent, excellent stuff, especially if you were a fan of the originals. Even if not, there's enough to get you on board. If you like, consider giving Torchwood a try, though be warned that it's a sci-fi soap opera.

I'd also suggest Farscape. Takes a little while to get into, but is very good. Alias is good, though does run around in circles in terms of plot ideas and conveniences every now and again. Garner is hot, though.

Gotta also concur with Stargate, B5, Buffy, Angel.

Definitely. It starts off a little oddly too ("what's with the puppets!?") but I loved the progression of John Crichton from mildly nerdy scientist type into a half-crazed galactic badass.

If you watch this don't forget the Peacekeeper Wars miniseries that finishes the story.
