It's been pretty clear for a long time that the klipsch system is head and shoulders above any sub $1000 4.1 system. It is $250 or $300 though.

You probably won't find the Klipsch for less than $300. Try the Boston Acoustics BA4800s; I've heard they kick arse. Last time I checked Onvia had them for $150.

klipsch is good but it has lack of connections..
i suggest Altec lansing ADA880 for $110 @GoGoCity the speakers come with a huge 8" subwoofer, tweeters, remote, dolby digital decoding. The sound gets very loud! OK so the sound doesn't get as accurate as Klipsch promedia's but compare the price...it is less than half the price, and it comes with more features...just what does klipsch have that ADA880 doesn't have? i could name a bunch of things that klisch doesn't have that ADA880 has!😎

If you mostly play games: Boston BA4800 or Klipsch 4.1's

If you watch alot of DVD's: Cambridge DTT2500

I think the Boston Acoustics BA4800s are better than the Klipsch 4.1's, and they're cheaper to boot.

Go check out the different speakers at compusa, bestbuy, and the like. I did and I chose the klisch 4.1's, they are great IMO. Go with whatever suites you. 🙂

nahhh i would never suggest the DTT to anyone!! they should make their subwoofer bigger, and bigger drivers, just look at altec lansing acs54! they come with bigger drivers! well not a bigger subwoofer but DTT still comes with a mini 5.25" driver for the woofer. that's not big enough to make my mouse move when my sub is under the table...get the ADA880s!! one bad thing is that they have no rear out, but they only cost $110, it's a steal! GO GET THEM NOW BEFORE THE PRICE GOES UP AGAIN! CUZ I GOT THEM FOR $90 @ GOGOCITY AND NOW THEY COST $20 MORE!!
