I'm looking for a good wireless card as i'll soon be moving into a house with a wireless network. I'm not looking for anything real fancy, just something to get the job done. Can this be had for under $50?

I'm also wondering if these cards also have the option of plugging a cat5 into them in case decide i want to use a wired network for something?

Do you know what type of technology they are using ? (ie. 802.11a, 802.11b [ll Mbs], 802.11g [54Mbs])
Also, is this a laptop or a desktop. ( they use different cards)

as you can tell i have no idea about any of this stuff....

its a desktop. I'm not sure what type they are using. all I can tell you is that my uncle is using a new dell laptop on it, and my aunt is using and older G4...

are the different types (802.11a/b/g) compatable?
