Whats a good way to print Multiple shipping labels?

For those of you who run retail bussines that require shipping many items, How do you adress packages? Do you write the adress by hand or use some kind of label printer? or regular printer? I have a friend who is interested in doing some type of label printing so if anyone you got any advice let me know.

Well, I don't know if they still make it or not, but I know my mom uses Word Perfect 6.1 (or 5.1 possibly) to address large numbers of people for christmas cards and such. You could set it up for the different sheet sizes of lables, and it'd print them off. That way, you could do one at a time, and just send it through the printer several times for each address. Not sure if the new version does it or not. Alternativly, you might check with places like stamps.com and the other online postage places. They usually have some kind of software you can use

I personaly used stamps.com before But I have no clue how I would match up the correct Item with the adress, it would be a pain in the @ss.
