What's a good video editor?

I want to be able to edit video clips like mpeg and be able to cut out scenes in the middle not just at the beginning and end.

I like ulead brand of programs myself like movie factory 3 easy to use and not overpriced. Windows movie maker will let you remove parts and link mpeg's together but just takes a bit of time to convert them together.

I really like MPEG Video Wizard for cropping out portions of MPEG files.
