Whats a good video card to pair with a 1Ghz Athlon/K7T Pro2a and 256MB of PC133SDRAM?

Should I get the Radeon 32MB or the Geforce 2 MX? The computer will be used mostly for graphics publishing and gaming.

That Geforce 2 MX will likely be fill rate limited at even the lower resolutions.

Yes, don't use Win2k..unless there's been some sort of update to it (I haven't really been following it much).

Radeon if you are concerned with 2D and DVD quality.

If it's just for gaming, get the Geforce2 GTS as it is slightly faster.

IMO the DVD playback on the Radeon alone is what favors me toward this card.

Not necessarily, based on its fill rate and memory bandwidth it seems to be almost completely maxxed out..

i like the dvd on the gts more than on my friends radeon...then again i have a 64ddr prophet2 and he has a 32ddr radeon.

the price on the Gladiac GTS 32 meggers seems to be pretty cehap, running $127 or something like that. check Hot deals for a deal. i wouldn't go with a radeon unless you're a gambling man...per previous bad drivers.

I think I would bet the Trident Blade 3d. Be the first on your block to get one. or the Cirrus Logic 5434 it be the best $10 you ever spent.

How much do you want to spend? You could also consider a voodoo 5 5500 which should be really cheap right now. Even though there isn't support for them any more.

Damn. I was hoping if ATI ever got their act together they could release some new RADEON BASED drivers (aren't the current ones partially Rage128 based??) with tons of fixes then it would be even faster. Well I'm still happy with my Radeon.

Geforce2 GTS if you can afford it! Radeon is better choice then MX though!
