What's a good topic? (besides the Chicago Fire)

This gets my vote. Shoeless Joe and the Black Sox would be another good one.

When i was in government last year in high school, we watched this video about richard j daley (not the current mayor, but his father). It was about his rise to power and the political machines that drove chicago politics. Anyways, i think it would be cool to show how chicago was the prime example of how big city politics worked. PM me if you want more information or a link.

How about the prominence of architecture in Chicago? Second to New York City, Chicago has some of the most stunning buildings in the US. The Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, the Civic Center come to mind, not to mention the beautiful wavy-shaped apartment (with three wides) on Lake Shore drive or the circular Marina Towers downtown.

No problem. There are two sites in particular with tons of info, just search google. My great-grandmother died on the ship, along with her younger sister.

Ditto that. Excellent topic!
