Hi. i have a new Dell Inspiron 8200 and i'm still trying to figure out a good setting for the cooling on this thing. i have i8kfangui so i pretty much control it as closely as i want but i'd like to keep the fan noise as low as possible.
anway, right now i have it hovering between 50C and 60C. i keep my desktop rig at around 40C/45C which i like.
my real question is....can laptops get away with running hotter ? i don't have much experience with them. i'd appreciate any laptop cooling info. thanks.
