alright, I got a 600 Duron, but I can't it past the 690 mark. Is this bad? or is every duron supposed to be able to hit 950? See, I'm assuming that If I can overclock at all, that it's good. but it seems to me that all the people around me in this world are overclocking to the 800s. i just wanna know if i should be satisfied or if I should keep on trying. ANd if I can get any more tips,. please give them TO ME!!!!!! I am runing a abit kt7 Raid. ANd the other thing, is it easy to overclock on the a7v's? Easier than Abit? Thanks

not all will hit 750 minimum. there is the rare one which won't go up at all, maybe you got one. did you try adjusting the voltage?

Did you unlock the Duron either with a pencil or the rear window defogger repair kit? If you really want to bump it up, you will have to unlock the Duron, and raise up the multiplier.

I would try going over it with the pencil again. If you can't seem to get the multiplier to increase over 600 alone, and not raising the FSB, I would try the rear window defogger kit. I have had to re-do the pencil on my 800 T-Bird a couple of times so far. It runs fine for awhile, but I guess it wears off. I am either going to use the rear defogger stuff soon, or send it off to be soldered.

What the f**k is the rear window defogger method of unlocking the chip? I keep hearing about it but have no clue what it is.

Auto parts stores sell rear window defogger repair kits for around 7 bucks. It is basically like highly conductive paint, and you use it to close the bridges instead of pencil. Trickier to apply and harder to undo if you screw up, but supposedly more permanent. I guess I'll find out.

so what are your guys settings at? I want to know, and did you guys do the penciling so it's really dark, or just a light touch? I can just barely see the bridges, like barely. So let meknow. Thanks
