What's a good size for a pic to be shown online?

I try to get under 100k if possible, 50k better. Max would be about 250k, and only if the clicker knew it was that big.

Okay. Sounds good. I took a quick snapshot of the chair I've been sitting on. (the chair's broken. the pic sucks). I resized it to 800x600. 640x480 seems better for this sort of thing.

I always resize my pics to 640x480 and compress them as best as possible. some people just throw up 1600x1200 size pics that are over 3 megs... what kinda ganster crap is that?
