Hey all,

I have win2k installed on a 20 gig system, and I want to dual boot with linux to toy around with it.

How much room is enough? I plan on installing redhat 7.0 and X for sure. I was thinking 3 gigs total (including swap and stuff).

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks

3GB should be good. Likeloy more than enough to install EVERYTHING that comes in today's distrobutions (RH7, LM7.2, etc.).

When I installed Linux to play and learn with, I had my partition at a little over 1 gig and it was quite enough... of course I did not plan to install many programs though...

So I would say 3 gig is more than enough... probably you can go with 2 gigs and still have plenty of room to play around with...
