What's a good site to get album artwork?

I've always used amazon as well. If you're looking to tag music with album art for an mp3 or media player then there are programs that can do that. I think I used to use mediamonkey for that and it worked pretty well.

Amazon is decent for well known albums and they usually have 500X500 sized images you can then resize and adjust to your taste. The user uploaded images can provide album art you simply will not find easily.

There are several others I use when gathering album art but I do not remember them since the bookmarks are on my old system and I have not transferred them to this machine yet but for obscure album art and international album art I always use Rate Your Music. It is by far the best source for extremely hard to find older album art.

1. Amazon
2. Google Images

If it is not on either of those, it probably does not exist or it has not made it out of the garage yet.

Yeah, I used Mediamonkey for that when I first tagged my collection.

I've found the following site handy, as it searches a number of sites that host CD covers.

Or just go directly to allcdcovers.com, they seem to have a pretty good collection of high-res covers.

edit: Nohr beat me to it. :)

My point is you will not always get a hit from rateyourmusic on google images. It really depends on the search string. It is much simpler to simply go there first and check and see what they have. The nice thing is the images are all user uploaded so you get some very rare old album art put up there.

Just as an example go there and look up The Beatles "Help!". There are album covers from many different first run editions on vinyl that you won't find anywhere else.

I didn't know you could do that...but then again if I hadn't given the little fucktard the site where all the photos are it would have been moot. I have learned to ignore all the douchebags around here. I am only trying to help. He is just flexing on the internet what he lacks in real life obviously.
