Hello all,

I live in the Northern VA area and have been eagerly awaiting DSL service. I was wondering what a good website is where I can find out pricing and other comparison information between different providers. I know I saw one before but I don't remember the URL.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

DSLReports is a great site.

In DC, I've had CapuNet since Sep. '99 and they have been outstanding.

In all that time, I've had 3 outages. All because of Verizon Equipment failures.

2 lasted for about an hour or two. This last one is more serious in that something has broken in my loop to the CO.

But, all of that is not CapuNet's fault.

Nice thing was, back when I got it, Covad didn't really care what they were doing so my 768/384 package was actually 768/768 SDSL.

With the new packages through Covad, Covad was using interleaving on the circuit. This typically would add 50ms or so to your ping time.

After a lot of complaints, CapuNet will let you switch to a new circuit that doesn't employ interleaving.

There was also a section in the Washington Post Business Section 10/29 (or 10/28) that had a roundup of all the DSL providers and what they offer.

I know this sounds like an ad for CapuNet but they've been great to me :)
