Whats a good site to buy academic software?

My future-wife is a student at a four year university, and I want her to buy Dreamweaver Academic version for our use. She already has and uses flash, and I want to show her how to incorporate stuff into a web project.

Anyways, on Newegg.com they have the academic version of Dreamweaver for like 91 bucks, but when you put in your school credentials, at the bottom of the page it says if educational requirements are not met, customer agrees to pay full price of software, which is like 400 bucks.

I do NOT trust newegg's education requirement matching system. What if it goes wrong and she gets charged 400 bucks.

wow...

I didn't realize retailers could set their own price for software.

we're going there now to re-check the price.. perhaps it was the pro version or the entire suite. the person at the store wasn't to bright when i called to ask.

www.govconnection.com (basically PCconnection.com). Check with the school tho, they may already have a way to purchase academic software.
As has been mentioned, the school offers it for ludicrous prices only, They screw you on books, and now they'll screw you on academic software too.

Check if there's something akin to Microsoft's MSDN for dreamweaver. I got XP Pro, Office and some other stuff for $30 total through them.

Yeah, we went into the store.. it was 99 there. It was 199 for the suite.

And I like buying legit software.. I'm not 13 anymore.

do you have a credit card that issues one time use numbers with a dollar limit? that's what i would do in this situation.
