I have bluetooth cell and laptop but have no idea how to get them to communicate/exchange data.

What's a good site to learn how to use these features?

Cingular phone....Dell E1505 laptop.

Thanks,
Jeff

Just google it. There really isn't any good all-in-one site that I've come across that explains how to setup Bluetooth cell phones with PCs. I got mine working after reading numerous websites.

Right now I have a Motorola V190 but I am going to get a KRZR in a couple weeks.

honestly, i think you just need a bluetooth dongle

then search for bluetooth devices found by your phone and you should be good to go...

with that you should be able to send ringers and wallpaper...

to sync your calender and stuff i guess you would need some motorola application or something like that...

I've been playing with my Razor for about 2 weeks and have given up on BT. It's flakey enough with the cable connection.

Yeah....someone else told me this(dongle) was the way to go.

Anyone else got any advice on the subject?

Why get a dongle if your Laptop and Phone already have built-in bluetooth? I don't get it.

My laptop has bluetooth, as does my razr. In windows I simply go to the default bluetooth connection in the accessories>communications folder (it's part of the default install with my sony vaio).

In ubuntu/suse I could easily just go to the bluetooth manager and find my phone and transfer stuff. It's all really easy. Bluetooth has been nothing but a pleasant experience for me.
