hey guys,

I'm just wondering if you guys have any input for picking out a SATA drive for my MSI K8N Neo2 plat. it'll be my first SATA drive for my PC(which currently houses 2 IDE drives)

anything in particular to look for? good/bad experiences? or just whatever will do?
I'm probably gonna be shopping for the drive at one of these 2 places(since I live in Canada):
www.memoryexpress.com
www.ncix.com

Any input would be great. thanks.

btw, I haven't yet decided on how large it should be, but I'm probably gonna be looking for good bang for the buck.

Just about any SATA drive nowadays is just fine. I can't really say any of them are truly bad. Maxtor and Seagate are pretty good places to start off. As far as hard drive size? 160gb seems to be a sweet spot too. Good bang for the buck. 200gb-250gb may also be pretty cheap now too. I'm not sure as I have not HD shopped in awhile.

Maxtor/Seagate around 160gb shouldn't be too hard of a combo to find. Other opinions may vary...

Welcome!
