What's a good program to rip music from a CD and convert it to mp3's on the fly?

There are so many programs out there now but I just want something that is simple and easy to use. I'm currently using winamp and blade but I was wondering if there was a way to rip and convert on the fly.

TIA

EAC for ripping and LAME for encoding is the BEST combination. Both are free and easy to use if you follow the instructions the first time. See the FAQ's in my signature for links and more advice.

Are either of you running Windows XP because CDex keeps crashing on me and freezing my puter when I try to rip tracks off a CD and convert them to mp3. I never even get passed 3% completion. Also, the readme file lists "Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME & Windows-NT4 SP3, Windows 2000" under system requirements but no mention of XP.

FYI, I'm running CDex v.1.40 on WinXP Pro

EAC / LAME Rocks! Thanks guys.

I'm using XP Pro w/sp1 as well as CDex 1.40 ECHO. No crashes or any other problems. Looks like you go it going with EAC/LAME.
Sorry ?I couldn't be of any help.
