what's a good program to make an image of an HD?

I need to setup a RAID system for this guy to to have his HD mirrored onto another, but setting up the RAID card erases the data on drives connected to it. So I need to make an image of 1 hd onto another and then copy the image back to the original hd after I've set it up with raid. what's the best program for making a simple image? also the destination drive for the image doesn't have to be the same size as the source, does it?

if the drive is a western digital the nyou van use a program the make, its on their website and free. very easy to use

GHOST WORKS IN DOS, BUT NEWER VERSIONS require you to enter serial number before restoring.

Drive image-works in dos and windows. easier interface than ghost.

been using drive image lately only because of the serial number issue

What you say?

I've used Drive Image, which consistently gets recommended more than Ghost on this forum. However, Acronois True Image is my program of choice. Acronis True Image is a fantastic program that has never given me a problem. You probably won't hear a lot of people saying much about it (I'm not sure why). Instead they'll mostly argue about Drive Image vs. Ghost, but I think True Image is the superior program.
