Hey, I was wondering what a good program would be to compose my own beats. Something where I can plug my electric piano and guitar into my computer. I was loooking at Adobe Audition, but I'm not sure if that's exactly what im looking for (Plus it's $299). Anyone know of some other programs?

Ruity Loops is pretty good, but if your looking for total freedom, then you want to look at Reason. Reason will allow for you to come up with some intricate 64th to 128th note stuff, whereas Fruity Loops is limited to the 16th note hits. Also in comparison, Reason costs alot more too because it also has the functionability to do all your other instruments.

Uh no. Fruityloops can do 64th and 128th notes, and gives you just as much freedom as Reason. The sampler and synths that come with Reason are moderately better than the ones that come with Fruityloops, but Fruityloops can use external sampler/synth/effects plugins (which Reason can NOT do). Fruity is a much better value imo.
