I have no clue being a male non 8 year old.... someone throw me some ideas.

All 8-year-olds are different. Some are still into Barbie and dress-up stuff. Some are into CDs, DVDs, computers, clothes, etc.

My daughter just turned 9 and she got a samurai sword and a training bra. (first person to ask for pics of something other than the sword.. "shakes fist*)

Anything you see on Weekday Afternoon or Saturday morning cartoons that pertain to girls. Just flip through the channels or TiVo when you have time.
